Mary Moriarity is Holden Caulfield‘s mother. She is described in detail in two of the unpublished stories at the Firestone Library, The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls and especially The Last and Best of the Peter Pans. She and Mr. Caulfield are actors, and Mary is a lively redhead.
